Wales Scholarship for Disabled Nova Scotia Post-Secondary Education Students

Each year, Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command awards $40,000.00 in bursaries and scholarships.

Criteria

This scholarship is granted to students in Nova Scotia  with a disability who are attending a post-secondary educational institution.

How to Apply

The application form can be found here. This form outlines all the supporting documentation that is required to be sent in with the completed application.

Please provide the following documentation with this application (only complete applications will be considered):

First year students:

  1. Official high school transcript
  2. Official letter of acceptance from institution you will be attending
  3. Academic reference letter*
  4. Character reference letter*
  5. Statement of disability (one of the following):
    1. Medical certificate
    2. Learning disability assessment
    3. Other official document testifying to your disability

Returning students:

  1. Letter from institution you are attending confirming student status
  2. Academic reference letter*
  3. Character reference letter*
  4. Statement of disability (one of the following):
    1. Medical certificate
    2. Learning disability
    3. Other official document testifying to your disability

* Referees should comment on how disability impacts academic performance.
