CNIB Sense Scholarship

The CNIB Sense Scholarship is a national scholarship available to blind or visually impaired students.

CNIB’s Sense Scholarship for Students with Vision Loss is an annual, one-time award of $500 granted to a Canadian living with vision loss, who is attending or planning to attend a university or college in Canada. This scholarship is made possible as a result of the fundraising efforts of the DalSense Society at Dalhousie University.

Criteria

Candidates for the scholarship must be:

  • Canadian
  • Blind or living with vision loss
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program or going into a post-secondary program in 2019-2020 leading to a degree or diploma

How to Apply

Download and complete the CNIB Sense Scholarship application form, and submit it via the contact information below along with the following documents:

  • Your high school/university transcript
  • A letter of reference on your behalf (the reference must be a non-family member, who is able to speak to your education and/or community involvement)

Note: Academic performance, service to the community, financial need and answers to the questions in the application will be taken into consideration.
